Upcoming Meetings and Events

Meeting time 8:00 AM
Buffet line opens at 7:00 for Breakfast
BOD meeting immediately following the first regular meeting of each month
All PELC members are welcome at any BOD meeting.

July 4th, 2009 Plano Independence Day Parade. The folks from the Salvation Army will be helping us by distributing water and soft drinks. Many thanks to Tractor Supply for supplying the club with two Trail Wagons for the parade!

July 9 through the 19th The parade will be re-broadcast daily at 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM each day on Time Warner Channel 16 and Verizon FIOS Channels 30, 31 and 32.

July 18th Sam Scott will present the speech that won 1st place in the state Lions Student Speaker Contest. After the meeting, we will go over to the Collin Oaks Retirement Center to enjoy a game of horseshoes with the residents.

August 1st The Plano Fun Ride. Proceeds go to benefit the Relief Nursery of Collin County.

August 15th TBD

Our entrant Sam Scott has won 1st place in the Texas State Lions Speaker's Contest! Congratulations to Sam for his outstanding work. We hope to have Sam present his talk to the club in July.

The January Lion Magazine has a very nice writeup on our website. Welcome, visitors! Please have a look around, especially at our blog.

If you have any eyeglasses or eyeglass cases you would like to donate, take them to any of the convenient drop-off points.

If you discover any community needs that we as Lions can address, please let us know!
